There are various different card numbered 868. Apart from the Albert Memorial cards which are part of the main series these all appear to be British printed, either black & white or sepia coloured and somewhat inferior in quality indicating, perhaps printing during and/or shortly after the First World War.
One theory is that the 'Southampton 868' found on the rear of these cards is in fact the telephone number of Stuart's business. This is possible but I have never seen any evidence to suggest that Stuart had a telephone line.
