Title:
Victoria Barracks, Portsmouth
Details:

Most of the barracks were demolished in 1967 to make way for the rather horrible Pembroke Park housing estate and a hotel. The one surviving block of the barracks now serves as the City Museum, none of the buildings shown here survive. Despite the title of the card, most the buildings in the image were known as Clarence Barracks. The corner of Victoria Barracks can just be seen at the right edge. The photo looks to have been taken from the Pier Hotel on what was Bellevue Terrace.
